Fun Stuff

This page is for other fun things that don't count as illustrations but deserve to have a page anyways. Here, you will find some of my crafty excursions such as buttons and keychains! There's also some game-related designs such as Minecraft skins and ACNL Pro Designs-- I like making cosplays with them. ::-)

Buttons

My family recently came to own a pin-back button press, and it's been really fun making all sorts of buttons with it! I've sold some at events, and am selling some online on Ko-Fi and eBay, too.

Four hand-drawn buttons against a white sheet

Here are some hand-drawn buttons! I used pens and coloured pencils.

Four buttons made with scratch-art

These buttons were made using scratch art pads. These give a nice bold black colour to offset the sparkles (or rainbow colours, in one instance).

Eight buttons made with assembled materials

These were made with assembled materials, which is nice because it lets me use my magazines and scraps I've collected over the years. You can really put anything in a button, as long as it's flat-- these use candy boxes and wrappers, confetti, clippings from magazines and textbooks... It's a fun and versatile medium, and by the end, you can wear it!

Pony bead animals

Pony bead animals were all the rage when I was a kid, especially lizards, but I didn't bother to learn making them until recently. I really enjoy looking at the website Margo's Beadie Critters for patterns! Once you get the basics down, you can make your own creatures independent of patterns.

Two pony-bead keychains of Parappa the Rapper

PaRappa the Rapper was one of the first pony bead keychains I made without following a pattern. If I make multiples of one keychain, I like experimenting with how they're made.

Two pony-bead keychains of Salad Fingers, a green humanoid

Another early character keychain, this one is the internet-horror icon Salad Fingers. One of the downsides to making characters is you have to deal with whatever colours you can find, no matter if they match the canon character or not, hehe.

Two centipedes made of pony beads, one rainbow and one yellow with red stripes

The Rainbow centipede keychain uses a modified pattern from Margo's page. The yellow one was free-handed. I love how these two came out.

Two cockroaches made out of brown and orange pony beads

These two American Cockroaches were free-handed. One uses pipe-cleaners for antennae, the other is string.

A pony-bead keychain of an orange tadpole-like creature A pony-bead keychain of an orange siamese kitten, next to a plush toy of the same cat

Two more characters: a Stardust from "Chu-teng", and Woof from "A Kitten Named Woof".

T-Shirts

Sometimes I paint shirts using letter stencils, and sometimes I make stencils myself out of cardboard.

A yellow shirt with black text and a small purple pansy, reading Let Every Pansy Bloom

A t-shirt painted with a slogan from this gay pride banner from 1978.

A blue shirt with a black and white face on it, reading The Works A blue shirt with a white robotic ant along the back

A shirt inspired by "The Works"! The ant was my most intense stencil to make, and I like how it came out.

Minecraft Skins

Click on each skin to be taken to the downloadable skin file.

A MineCraft player that looks like an orange robot, with big dark eyes and teal and purple accents

This skin is based on Clyde from "The Works".

A Minecraft player that looks like a baseball batter, in a black and white outfit with orange sleeves and a shirt that says 'off' on the back. A Minecraft player that looks like a baseball batter, in a black and white outfit with pink sleeves.

Here are two skins based of The Batter from "OFF", who is one of my favourite characters! I like to mess with his design a lot so I made two.

A colourful Minecraft player covered in abstract patterns.

This skin is based off of various places from the game "LSD: Dream Emulator", another game I really like.

A Minecraft player whose head is a smiling sun and whose body is made of rainbows that end in clouds at the hands and feet.

This is a skin made for funsies of a little rainbow fella.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Pro Designs

Click each image for full resolution (which you'll probably need for the codes).

An Animal Crossing player wearing a white shirt with a grey grid pattern and an orange tie, with khaki pants. Four QR codes for a shirt in Animal Crossing, which is white with an grey grid pattern and an orange tie.

This is a shirt based on Stanley from "The Stanley Parable", and it's also the first pro design I made.

An Animal Crossing player from the front and back, wearing a navy diving suit from Soma, a hockey mask, and dark pants. Four QR codes for a shirt in Animal Crossing patterned after the navy diving suit from Soma.

This is based off the ductile suit that Simon wears in the game "Soma". Soma is one of my favourite games, so I put a lot of effort into this ::-) I think the samurai pants compliment it pretty well to complete the outfit.

An Animal Crossing player from the front and back, wearing a white dress with a red jacket, a nurse's hat, and red shoes. Four QR codes for a dress in Animal Crossing that's white with a red jacket, and a gold nametag and arm band.

In October 2021 I watched my twin play "Silent Hill", so I made this dress based off of Lisa Garland. This was made with my light skintone in mind so it might not match you if you use it.
