♪ Thanks For Tuning In! ♫

I love buying CDs! I've found some great ones at yard sales & thrift stores, but I also buy a lot online.
I have a Google Drive folder of most of these ripped as MP3s. Feel free to ask for the link!
I also have a BandCamp account where I buy a lot of music. There's a wishlist there if you'd like to buy anything for me... ;;-)

"Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum" by Tally Hall [2005; 2008 reissue] (I was a huge Tally Hall fan as a teen!) "Good & Evil" by Tally Hall [2011] "The Electric Light Orchestra" by Electric Light Orchestra [1971]
"Out of the Blue by Electric Light Orchestra [1977] (I was lucky enough to find this at a record store in North Carolina.) "Time" by Electric Light Orchestra [1981] (My first ELO album and one of my faves!) "Secret Messages" by Electric Light Orchestra [1983]
"The Count of Monte Cristo: Highlights from the Musical" by Frank Wildhorn & Jack Murphy [2008] (I was obsessed with this musical in middle- and high-school.) "The Phantom of the Opera Original Cast Recording" [1987] "Frankenstein Rock" by Alan Bernhoft [2008] (Thrifted at a flea market, I transcribed the lyrics on Genius.com. Really fun rock n' roll sound.)
"No!" by They Might Be Giants [2002] (My family's disc is horribly scuffed but I kept it for the nostalgia ::-)) "Nothing to Fear" by Oingo Boingo [1982; 2021 remaster] "77" by Talking Heads [1977]
"Remain in Light" by Talking Heads [1980] (This album cover always scared me as a child so I never expected I'd get into this band, lol.) "Stop Making Sense" by Talking Heads [1984] (Listened to this a lot before I ever watched the film, which is also amazing.) "Little Creatures" by Talking Heads [1985] (Got this & SMS at a yard sale absolutely full of CDs!)
"The Catherine Wheel" by David Byrne [1981] (Soundtrack for a dance production. It's kind of a strange watch, and the music is great.) "Be The Cowboy" by Mitski [2018] "Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs" by Marty Robbins [1958; 1999 reissue]
"Indigo Girls" by Indigo Girls [1989] (I got two of my Indigo Girls CDs from my parents.) "Nomads, Indians, Saints" by Indigo Girls [1990] "Become You" by Indigo Girls [2003]
"Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?" by The Unicorns [2005] (Such a fun album!) "Return to the Sea" by Islands [2006; 2016 remaster] "Mr Twin Sister" by Mr Twin Sister [2014] (This came with my order of Return to the Sea. Free CD! It's very nice.)
"The ArchAndroid" by Janelle Monáe [2010] (Thrifted this with little knowledge of Monáe's music, and I love it!) "The Stranger" by Billy Joel [1977] "Audience with the Mind" by The House of Love [1993] (A random purchase because the cover looks cool, it has really grown on me.)
"Traveling Wilburys: Volume 1" by Traveling Wilburys [1988] "Graceland" by Paul Simon [1986] "OFF Original Soundtrack" by Alias Conrad Coldwood [2008] (Not an official release, I just burnt the album to a CD and printed off the booklet available on their site. Still cool!)

I prefer buying studio albums, but I do have some compilation / miscellaneous albums:

"Adam Ant's Super Hits" [1998] (My twin thrifted this for me ::-) Thanks, Dog!) "Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits" [1972] "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits [1988]
"Breakin' Through" from Emerging Artists [1995] (Featuring music by Brian Fox & Load, Natalia, and Lyndal's Burning.) "When Folk meets Rock: The Saga of A Sound" from Starbucks (yeah) [2011] "Maple Leaf Rag" by Scott Joplin [1997]
"Creepy Classics" from PC Treasures [2005?] (A small compilation of classical music.) An unmarked CD that's 40 minutes of haunted house sound effects (but look how cool the disc is!) "Halloween Fight Flicks" from Turn Up the Music [2003]
"Mes plus grands succés: Volume 1" by Mireille Mathieu [2000] (A random thrift since I'm learning French, I love this music a lot!)

Wishlist?
• I'd love to have more Oingo Boingo albums! For how long I've loved them, I just have Nothing to Fear.
• Anything by Ezra Furman or Bryan Scary! I have some of their music on Bandcamp but I think it'd be so cool to have CDs of theirs.
• Self-Ish or The Normal Album by Will Wood.
• Some solo albums from David Byrne... I'm not even sure which one! Maybe his self-titled album.
• Hounds of Love by Kate Bush! I saw this a lot at the flea market a few times, before I ever got into it.

In addition to CDs I also have a lot of CD-ROMs, mostly games I played as a kid but a few ones I've gotten recently as well.
It's such a bust how computers are coming with built-in CD players less and less. Owning a physical game feels more personal and less ephemeral.
Am I saying this just because CD-ROMs were how I played computer games as a kid and thus a highlight of my childhood?... Nope, I still think physical media is important.

"3D Frog Frenzy" [1999] (A Frogger-type game that's surprisingly really hard.) "Amazing American History" [2005 reissue] (A game I played a bit as a kid and rediscovered the disc recently.) "Amazing Animals" [1999] (Rediscovered at the same time as Amazing American History.)
"Grim Fandango" [1998] (I ended up playing this on Steam cuz it would always BSOD my computer at Carla's conversation in Year 2... Amazing game regardless!) "Half-Life" [1998] (Another game I played on Steam) "KidPix Studio Deluxe" [1998]
"Maisy's Playhouse" [1999] "Miss Spider's Tea Party" [1999] (A childhood favourite!) "Myst" [1993] (Unfortunately never finished... Now the computer I was playing it on broke...)
"The Neverhood" [1996] (Absolutely amazing graphic style!) "Pac Pack" [1998] "Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When it's Dark Outside" [1996] (Another absolute childhood favourite!)
[No image!]
"Pajama Sam: You Are What You Eat from Your Head to Your Feet" [2001] "The Sims: Deluxe Edition" [2002] (Recently thrifted, not yet played.) "Spore" [2008] (Never finished the Space stage cuz it always freezes and crashes randomly... The Creature stage is the most fun anyways, hehe.)
"Strawberry Shortcake: Amazing Cookie Party" [2004] (This always bugged out on Orange Blossom's level, but despite that it was always my favourite.)

Wishlist?
• I know they're notoriously rare, but I'd love Eastern Mind and/or Chu-teng. Their boxes are very cool!
